2023 in Review

We are always excited to reflect on 12 months of work, especially given the diverse range of learning partners we support and the targeted organisational development objectives we help them meet.

Challenging trading conditions continue to present our customers (and almost all sectors) with disruptive and unpredictable challenges. Fortunately, investing in impactful learning and development that delivers and develops knowledge, skills and confidence, is one of the best ways to respond.

You can explore some highlights from our busy year below and find our office hours for the festive season at the bottom of this email.

Award Winners

For the second year in a row, we were delighted to take home an award from the KPMG Learning Supplier Awards. This year, we won the Above & Beyond award, as well as picking up nominations in the Growing Together, Relationship Builder, Innovation of Approach and Learning Design categories.

We are proud to be a long-term senior supplier within KPMG’s consortium of learning specialists, providing Civil Service Learning and Government departments with high quality learning and development, and we look forward to another successful year supporting the UK public sector in 2024.

Well-received Webinars

This year, we were delighted see more than 1,000 people register for our popular programme of free webinars. 2023 titles included How to Have Coaching Conversations, Unconscious Bias and Brilliance at Resilience (in support of Learning at Work Week 2022).

We are thrilled with the number of learners who benefit from these learning sessions every year and pick up invaluable knowledge and tools to take back to their work. If you would like to view recordings of any of this year’s webinars, just click here to send us an email and we will get back to you with the titles!

Pertinent pearls of wisdom®

This year, we added five new titles to our catalogue of award-winning Microlearning videos: pearls of wisdom®. The titles were selected so we could better support our customers with titles directly relevant to their emerging priorities and include Understanding Inclusive Leadership, Effective Mentoring and Becoming an Active Bystander.

National Apprenticeship Week 2023

This annual celebration of the apprenticeship system is always a fantastic chance to shine a light on our impactful management apprenticeship delivery, which allows employers to receive skilled and confident managers and leaders in return for their Apprenticeship Levy funds.

This year we were delighted to share fascinating interviews with five of our enrolled management apprentices, sharing details of their learning experiences to date, which you can read here, here and here.

We have new ‘open’ programmes coming up in 2024, allowing employers in England to enrol any number of learners on the Level 3 (Team Leader/Supervisor) or Level 5 (Operations/Departmental Manager) apprenticeship. Click here to request more information!

Waxing Lyrical

We evaluate every learning intervention we deliver for impact (in both the virtual/physical classroom and in the workplace). This data then provides an essential insight into the suitability of our approach, the relevance of learning content and the success of our facilitators, and we are proud to see highly positive trends in these outcomes, year on year.

This year, we are even more proud to say that a learner on one of our coaching/development programmes was inspired to write the lyrics to a song entitled ‘This Coaching is the Best’ on their evaluation form! You can see the lyrics here on our LinkedIn page and, whilst we would be surprised to receive any feedback more creative than this in 2024, we would welcome it!

New EDI Workshops

Similar to our new pearls of wisdom®, we have produced a range of impactful workshops within one of 2023’s most popular and pressing subject areas: Equality, Diversity & Inclusion.

These workshops have supported customers UK-wide and range from general introductions like EDI Fundamentals and Managing & Leading Inclusively, to more specific and targeted workshops, such as Transgender Awareness and Active Bystanders & Allyship.

Send us an email to request a full list of these workshops and/or any course outlines you may be interested in.

If you have any particular learning objectives or development topics high on your agenda going into 2024, contact us now to set up an exploratory meeting in January and we will let you know what support we can provide.
