Increasing in popularity as a learning and development solution, personal coaching sessions from an external coach are a proven support strategy. They provide an invaluable opportunity for professionals, whether highly experienced or just starting their career, to discuss their challenges and goals with an impartial individual and create powerful action plans for personal development.
Our Coaches
We work with a large team of qualified professional coaches and can identify suitable candidates to work with individuals from any sector and at any stage of their career. All our coaches have experience of building one-on-one coaching relationships that help people to assess and re-frame their challenges and goals, create and evaluate realistic options for solving them, and produce positive, practical plans of action to guide their work and development moving forward. Coaching relationships can be as short or long-term as necessary, and even just one standalone session with an experienced coach can provide lasting benefits for an individual’s career.
Our coaches have typically completed a Level 7 Coaching and/or Mentoring Diploma or equivalent, from widely-respected awarding bodies such as ILM or CMI, with membership of professional membership organisations, such as the Association for Coaching (AC), International Coaching Federation (ICF) or European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC). This means that they have learned the relevant theory and techniques, as well as completing a minimum amount of safe, supervised coaching practice to hone their skills, and they are committed to regular CPD that keeps them up-to-date with the latest thinking and research.
Eliesha is a Coaching Service Provider Member of the Association for Coaching (Membership #: 76710570).

Effective coaches are positive, enthusiastic and supportive. They possess the key skills of active listening, clear communication and effective questioning, which allow them to observe and suggest without directing or controlling in a prescriptive way – avoiding becoming ‘just another manager’. Being coached by an experienced professional becomes an empowering development practice, building self-confidence and encouraging ownership of one’s responsibilities and challenges.
The Coaching Environment
We are happy to facilitate face-to-face, virtual or telephone coaching sessions, as suits organisational or individual preference. Whichever way, the chosen coach will create a psychologically safe environment, in which people are comfortable sharing any of the challenges, hazards or concerns that may be holding them back from progressing or achieving their goals.

The relationship between an individual and their coach is an important one, and Eliesha protects closely the confidentiality of anything discussed within it. Whilst we are pleased to provide comprehensive progress reports on the success of coaching relationships that we arrange, we are unable to disclose any of the finer details.
In order to increase the chances of a successful coaching relationship, we are happy to facilitate informal ‘chemistry chats’ between individuals and coaches, before any formal coaching sessions take place and any relationship is commenced. We take care to ensure that these do not feel like either party is conducting an ‘interview’ of the other and encourage individuals to provide honest feedback.
Case Studies

NHS Wales Finance Academy
As part of our wider development programme for high potential finance leaders working within the Welsh NHS, candidates benefited from the services of an experienced Eliesha coach to help them reflect on their goals, frame their learning and better develop their potential.

This case study includes first-hand reflections about the powerful one-to-one coaching experience, e.g.:
“At each session I would throw a different challenge at them and they were always able to recognise what it was that I needed from our discussion. They were always able to pull something out of their bag of tricks to make me think in a different way, consider things differently or just ask a question that took my thinking somewhere new.”
“Other interventions, such as training, are often about knowledge or technical skill. I can’t think of anything other than coaching that is so focused on personal development…”
