Why?
One of the mantras in leadership development is to ‘start with the why’.
Why do we need you? Because we are looking for someone to help us grow. You’ll be generating opportunities and business. You’ll be helping clients explore challenges, identify opportunities and discover solutions that genuinely support their people and organisational goals.
Why should you want to work for us? Because we’re a small, successful team, who will support you and give you the space you need to demonstrate how great you can be.
What?
You’ll be able to hit the ground running. You’ll identify new business, develop proposals, support bids and network with clients. You’ll be delivering B2B sales. You’ll act as a client relationship manager, helping create solutions directly with customers. You’ll continue to cultivate your passion for leadership and management, sharing best practice across the company.
Where?
You’ll be based in our Newcastle Upon Tyne office, where we are office-based for Tuesday to Thursday every week. But you’ll also be out with existing and potential clients, and other stakeholders.
When?
This is a full-time role. The position is vacant now, so we’re ready to go when you are.
How?
As potential clients contact us, you’ll take responsibility for responding to them, creating proposals and bid responses. This is fast-paced work, where you will be managing multiple deadlines. You’ll also act as a senior point of contact for existing clients, providing ideas and creative input to contact discussions.
You’ll work closely with the existing Business Development and Contract teams, so the work will be varied. You’ll use your expertise to grow the role, and we will benefit from your experience as much as you learn from us.
Who?
We’re looking for someone with a background in B2B sales, who is able to develop relationships with new and existing clients. Someone who is commercially-minded and knows how to close a sale. It’s essential that you understand our product – leadership and management development – so that you can match our solutions to the challenges our clients face. This is a role for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and creating opportunities, but who understands that the best business development starts with listening.
