Studying for and achieving an accredited qualification alongside an existing role is an extremely effective way to ‘learn by doing’. Qualifications from widely respected awarding bodies provide lasting endorsements of expertise and competence for individuals to carry with them throughout their career. They also ensure methods and tools taken onboard and deployed in the workplace represent proven best practice.
Why?
As a way of guiding development, transforming performance management and unlocking productivity, formal and informal coaching and mentoring have become popular solutions in the modern workplace, leading to the development of accredited qualifications in the corresponding knowledge and skills. These qualifications develop learners’ ability to build relationships that empower people to take responsibility for -and control of – their own development journey, whether this support comes from a place of personal experience (mentoring), or not (coaching).

Arranging coaching or mentoring connections between staff creates a safe and supportive space in which they can discuss their goals and challenges, generating and committing to practical action plans in response. Informally, managers and leaders with coaching/mentoring qualifications can apply their skills to the whole spectrum of people management – enabling them to actively listen, ask the right questions (at the right time) and give highly effective feedback.
For organisations, qualified coaches and mentors contribute to the development of a coaching culture – unlocking a variety of benefits including improved reactions to change, a more streamlined and continuous approach to appraisals/performance reviews and an increased appetite for workplace learning and CPD.

How?
Studying for a professional qualification alongside an existing role requires an engaging, supportive and flexible learning programme which fits around and within existing responsibilities. We can provide the learning environment that suits our accredited learners perfectly, and we are committed to providing the exact amount and nature of learning support that they need.

Face-to-face learning programmes feature a series of interactive, in-person workshops, delivered to a cohort of learners by an experienced tutor. Learners have access to a dedicated section of Eliesha’s Learning Management System (LMS) to help them prepare for each workshop, complete/submit their assessed work and communicate with their tutor, fellow learners and Eliesha’s Learning Support Team.
(Minimum and maximum numbers apply, open cohorts available).

Virtual programmes follow the same learning pattern as above, but workshops are delivered in an online virtual learning environment which uses all the functionality of the latest meeting software to create an interactive, engaging and safe online classroom. Learning support is similarly provided via a dedicated space on Eliesha’s LMS.
(Minimum and maximum numbers apply, open cohorts available).

Distance Learning involves individual self-learning guided by comprehensive learning materials and the support of a dedicated personal tutor. Eliesha’s LMS is deployed to host supportive resources, which are worked through at the learners’ desired pace.
(No minimum numbers apply, organisations can group multiple distance learners together to enable social learning discussion/collaboration and group learning support sessions from a single tutor).
