Eliesha’s Management Apprenticeships successfully pass Ofsted monitoring visit

Eliesha is pleased to announce the results of Ofsted’s audit of its Management Apprenticeship provision.

The monitoring visit, which took place on 2-3 October, explored the progress that Eliesha, as a new provider, has made in ensuring its service delivery is meeting all the requirements of successful apprenticeship provision and the expectations of employers. In summary, Ofsted concluded that apprentices benefit from Eliesha’s high-quality training, which leads to positive outcomes for them and their organisations.

From October 2018, The Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (Ofsted) undertook to carry out monitoring visits to all new providers of apprenticeship training provision which was funded from April 2017 or after by the ESFA and/or the apprenticeship levy.

Eliesha’s Managing Director, Julie Flanagan, said “we are delighted that our Apprenticeship Programmes have been recognised as having a beneficial impact on learners following our Ofsted audit. Our learners have worked very hard and achieved significant success to date.  With the ongoing support of their Programme Tutor/Coaches and Employers,” she continued, “we look forward to celebrating many further successes in their roles as competent and confident managers and leaders.”

Tony Cunningham, Eliesha’s Business Development Director, added that he was appreciative of Ofsted’s positive assessment of Eliesha Training as – quoting the report directly – “experienced specialists in leadership and management training” who “evaluate fully the quality of the provision” and “use their expertise successfully to meet the demands of employers.”

He continued to say that “employers will be greatly reassured by comments that our apprentices:

  • “develop substantial new vocational knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout their programme”
  • “complete more complex tasks and take on additional responsibility within their job role or gain promotion”
  • “make positive contributions to their workplace, including finding creative solutions to identified problems”

“Such achievements validate the relevance of the management apprenticeship programmes to support the many and increasing challenges in the workplace. They also successfully enable employed apprentices to effectively transfer their learning to their workplace, delivering significant benefits to their organisation and their personal and professional development.”
